New Business Special Permit Extension: 725, 741, 749 Merrimack Street 01854 On November 27, 2007, this Board granted a Special Permit under Section 8.1 of the City of Lowell Zoning Ordinance for the Conversion of Existing Buildings to redevelop a vacant church located at 725, 741 and 749 Merrimack Street into a residential building with 50 dwelling units and a parking lot with 53 spaces at the corner of Merrimack Street and Aiken Street. James M. Harrington has requested an extension of the Special Permit for a period of two years to February 1, 2020. Site Plan Review and Special Permit: 850 Lawrence Street 01852 An application was submitted by N.E. Heritage Properties for the redevelopment of a four story mill structure into seventy one (71) residential dwelling units and for improvements to the associated parking area. The subject property is located in the Traditional Mixed Use (TMU) zoning district. The project requires Site Plan Review and Special Permit approval under Section 11.4 and Section 8.1 from the Planning Board and any for other relief required under the City of Lowell Zoning Ordinance. IV. Other Business Preliminary Site Plan Application: 650 Merrimack Street 01854 The applicant is proposing to construct a one hundred sixty three (163) unit privately developed and operated dormitory. Discussion: 205-207 Market Street 01852 The proponent has made a design change to the previously approved hotel and redevelopment of the existing Athenian Corner restaurant.
