FINANCE & PERSONNEL COMMITTEE Time: 5:15 pm February 14, 2024 Luck Village Hall 401 S. Main St. MINUTES I. CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER II. ROLL CALL: President-Open Seat, Mike Broten, Sonja Jensen-all here III. AGENDA: Motion by Broten/Jensen to approve the agenda, all in favor- aye, carried. IV. MINUTES: Motion by Jensen/Broten to approve the minutes from January 10, 2024, all in favor- aye, carried. V. CHECKS/VOUCHERS: Motion by Jensen/Broten to approve the checks and vouchers from January 2024, all in favor- aye, carried. VI. FINANCING FOR THE PARK AVE LSL CUSTOMERS: Motion by Jensen/Broten to table the Financing and interest rate for the Park Ave LSL Customers and recommend to the Village Board until next meeting and get more information, all in favor- aye, carried. VII. PLUMBERS/CONTRACTOR FOR THE PARK AVE LSL CUSTOMERS: Motion by Jensen/Broten to table to approve plumbers/contractors for the Park Ave LSL Customers and recommend to the Village Board- Scott will get a list together and bring it to the next meeting, all in favor- aye, carried. VIII. THE FINANCE & PERSONNEL COMMITTEE WILL ENTER INTO A CLOSED SESSION UNDER STATE STATUTE 19.85 (1) (C) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any represented or non-represented public employees over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility: A- New Hire for Chief of Police B- Hiring a new Full Time/Part Time Police Employee C- Planning ahead for soon to be retirees  MOTION TO ENTER CLOSED SESSION- Jensen/Broten Roll Call: Open Seat- President, Mike Broten, Sonja Jensen- all here IX. THE FINANCE & PERSONNEL COMMITTEE WILL RETURN TO AN OPEN SESSION MOTION TO ENTER OPEN SESSION- Jensen/Broten Roll Call: Open Seat- President, Mike Broten, Sonja Jensen- all here X. ACTION FROM CLOSED SESSION: A- New Hire for Chief of Police- post internally for 2 weeks. We may open this up to the public if we do not have any applicants or we would like to have more apply- motion by Jensen/Broten, all in favor- aye, carried. B- Hiring a new Full Time/Part Time Police Employee- post the job position for a part time Police Employee and get recommendation from Police committee- motion by Jensen/Broten, all in favor- aye, carried. C- Planning ahead for soon to be retirees- We currently do not have any notice of retiree’s- motion by Jensen/Broten, all in favor- aye, carried. XI. ADJOURN: Motion by Broten/Sonja- meeting adjourned.
