ORDINANCE 2015-10 A SECOND AND FINAL READING OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MADEIRA BEACH, FLORIDA ESTABLISHING THE MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016; PROVIDING AND ANNOUNCING THE NAME OF THE TAXING AUTHORITY; THE ROLLED-BACK RATE; THE PERCENTAGE INCREASE; AND THE MILLAGE LEVY; BY PROVIDING FOR READING IN ITS ENTIRETY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ORDINANCE 2015-11 A SECOND AND FINAL READING OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MADEIRA BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2015 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2016; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. YES I. NEW BUSINESS - NONE J. REPORTS/CORRESPONDENCE • CITY COMMISSION Mayor Palladeno: As the president of the EMS Advisory Board, he is exited to announce that a lot of work and cooperation with the county has been done and continued education programs and water rescue support will he accomplished. Commissioner Shontz: Wanted to thank the CM and ACM/FD for all of the hard work that went into this FY2016 Budget. The reports that the ACM/FD distributes and the new policies have all been presented in a way that really helped the Commission thoroughly understand what is being accomplished and how the City functions financially. The entire Board agreed with Commissioner Shontz. • CITY ATTORNEY • CITY MANAGER CM: Noted that the Board has a copy of the City Centre Grand Opening Ceremony invitations that will take place on October 16th . He asked that if the Board had any specific people they would like to invite, to please send their lists to his office. He also noted that the Planning/Zoning Director, Lynn Rosetti, is currently on an extended medical leave. He is working with City engineers to find a way to stay on top of all of the development, planning commissioner, and variances. Earlier this day, a deal on a very big property was made which will require a lot of work on the City's part.
