UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1. ALS FIRST RESPONDER AGREEMENT- Chief Derry/ O'Neal & Walter Pierce Walter Pierce presented that this proposal has been discussed in previous budget meeting - we are facing a deadline to get this agreement approved - the Pinellas County EMS/ Fire needs this fire proposal by tomorrow morning 9.26.2017. The amount was budgeted at $413,000 which increased by $19,000 to $432,691, this is in the budget but just needs to be approved by Council. Commissioner Lister asked why the increase and if it goes up yearly, Walter Pierce explained that this increase is a good thing and that he hopes it goes up yearly as the City receives more money. A motion to approve was made by Commissioner Oakley that we accept the ALS Responder Contract for 2018, seconded by Commissioner Lister. APPROVAL OF REX PLACE STORMWATER ROADWAY & DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSAL- Walter Pierce, & Al Carrier, Deuel & Associates Al Carrier presented the Rex Place project is a Stormwater and roadway improvements project and that Rex Place in need of attention. The Rex Place limits of work are from the seawall on Boca Ciega Bay to the intersection at municipal Drive. The project will consist of roadway reconstruction, new curbs and Stromwater collection system. Stormwater pipes currently run through private property, Yacht Club Estates. The project will re-route the Stormwater outfall away from the private property and will keep the pipes with in the right of way.  The original budget was $850,000. The low bidder for the project was Keystone with a bid of $1,009,000.00 +/-. We were able to value engineer the parking lots on City Hall side and Yacht Club side to reduce the overall project cost to $915,729.60 which is an increase from the original budget of $65.729.60. Thi~ i~ project is co-operatively funded through the SWFWMD and the cooperative funding through SWFWMD is $425,000. Commissioner Lister made a motion to approve the $915,729.60 which is an increase of $65,729.60 and our budget approval is $850,000.
