A special meeting of the City of Madeira Beach Board of Commissioners was held at 6:00 p.m. on March
16, 2018 in the Patricia Shontz Commission Chambers at City Hall, located at 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira
Beach, Florida. Mayor Black called the meeting to order.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Maggi Black, Mayor
John Douthirt, Vice-Mayor
Nancy Hodges, Commissioner District 2
Nancy Oakley, Commissioner District 3
MEMBERS ABSENT: Terry Lister, Commissioner District 1

A. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Black called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
B. ROLLCALL
City Clerk Clara VanBlargan called the Roll and all Commission members were present except for
Commissioner Lister.

City Clerk Clara VanBlargan read the Final Official Election Results for the City of Madeira Beach as follows:

Terry Lister 595 Votes
Deby Weinstein 600 Votes

Total Votes Cast 1,187 Votes
Eric Breslin 540 Votes
Nancy L. Hodges 647Votes
Mayor Black Congratulated Commissioner Hodges and Deby Weinstein and said although Terry Lister is
not present she would like to thank him for all his years of service to the City of Madeira Beach.

The Board of Commissioners of the City of Madeira Beach, Florida will meet in the Patricia
Shontz Commission chambers at City Hall, located at 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach,
Florida to discuss the agenda items of City Business listed at the time indicated below.
Meetings will be televised on Spectrum Chanel 640 and streamed on
Livestream.com/cityofmadeirabeach

1. OFFICIAL ELECTION RESULTS
In accordance with City Charter Section 3.4, the Board of Commissioners shall meet following the certification for the purpose
of declaring the results of said election. The Pinellas County Canvassing Board serves as the City’s Canvassing Board for the
March 13, 2018 Municipal Election. The Canvassing Board will certify the official election results prior to the March 16th special
meeting and those results will be announced by the Mayor at the meeting.
2. PUBLIC COMMENT
Public participation is encouraged. If you are addressing the Commission, step to the podium and state your name and
address for the record. Please limit your comments to three (3) minutes.
D. ADJOURNMENT
Any person who decides to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of
the proceedings and for such purposes may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony
and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. The law does not require the City Clerk to transcribe verbatim minutes; therefore, the applicant
must make the necessary arrangements with a private reporter or private reporting firm and bear the resulting expense. In accordance with the
Americans with Disability Act and F.S. 286.26; any person with a disability requiring reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this meeting
