A Workshop Agenda Setting Meeting of the City of Madeira Beach Board of Commissioners was
held at 5:45 p.m. on August 14, 2018 in the Patricia Shontz Commission Chambers at City Hall,
located at 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach, Florida. Vice-Mayor Weinstein called the meeting
to order.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Deby Weinstein, Vice-Mayor/Commissioner District 1
Nancy Hodges, Commissioner District 2
Nancy Oakley, Commissioner District 3
John Douthirt, Commissioner District 4
MEMBERS ABSENT: Maggi Black, Mayor
CITY STAFF PRESENT: Jonathan Evans, City Manager
Ralf Brookes, City Attorney

1. CALL TO ORDER
Vice-Mayor Weinstein called the meeting to order at 5:45 pm.
2. ROLLCALL
The City Clerk called the roll. She said that Mayor Black called letting her know she would not be
at the meeting and that the absence is excused.

C. 911 Memorial Update - Dave Marsicano, Public Works/ Marina Director
D. A City of Madeira Beach Volunteer Resolution Honoring Pat Shontz Day of Good
Deeds - Jonathan Evans, City Manager
E. City Manager's Evaluation Matrix Discussion - Jonathan Evans, City Manager
Vice-Mayor Weinstein read the agenda items listed on the agenda and asked the Commission if
they had an item to add to the list.
Commissioner Hodges added Farmers Market that takes place on Wednesdays on Madeira Way
and the City Clerk's evaluation.

Vice-Mayor Deby Weinstein added status of the enterprise rental agreement and said in the last
two or three weeks she has noticed the Beach Beacon all over the roads instead of just in front of
people's houses and it was something that needed to be corrected. The City Manager said he would
have the Public Information Specialist contact them tomorrow for an update in regard to the Beach
Beacon making their way to the stormwater inlets and clogging them up. That will be reported to
the Board.

There was no confirmation of direction.

Vice-Mayor Weinstein adjourned the meeting at 5:49 p.m.
