City of Madeira Beach Agenda BOC Workshop Agenda Setting Meeting Wednesday, September 9, 2020 @ 5:45 PM Commission Chambers The Board of Commissioners of the City of Madeira Beach, Florida will meet in the Patricia Shontz Commission Chambers at City Hall, located at 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach, Florida to discuss the agenda items of City Business listed at the time indicated below. WORKSHOP AGENDA SETTING MEETING Items for September 23, 2020 Regular Workshop Meeting A. Reporting of City Matters - Commissioner Price. Should the BOC meeting agenda include the following:  Monthly update/status report on grants being applied for (Excel spreadsheet ?)  Monthly status report/recap of litigation the City is involved in from Attorney Tom Trask (not specific details, but a general overview)  Monthly update/status report on large construction projects in the City by City Manager  Monthly update/status report on collections from Attorney Matt Weidner Suggestions of other topics desired by the Commission B. Brainstorm of new ideas to save City money and/or stretch our resources - Commissioner Price Examples:  Discuss better use of parking enforcement, code enforcement, sheriff deputies  Garbage pickup  Selling the sand dredged from John's Pass C. Approval of credentials desired/required to be on City Planning Commission (See August 4, 2020 memo from Linda Portal, Community Development Director) - Commissioner Price  D. Backyard Chickens - Mayor Hendricks 4. CONFIRMATION OF DIRECTION BY CITY MANAGER 5. ADJOURNMENT One or more Elected or Appointed Officials may be in attendance.
