City Council Meeting Monday, January 14, 2019 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager and Dave Whitney. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve the Consent Items. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve RVH Realtor Contract for the 1 (one) year of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa and Larry Schickling, Cody Eager and Dave Whitney. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve the 2019 Council Appointments as follow: Acting Mayor: Larry Schickling City Attorney representing Civil matters: Chris Paul City Attorney representing Criminal matters: Patrick Casey Official Financial Depositories: Pioneer Bank & Alliance Bank Official Publication – Madelia Times Messenger Board of Adjustment & Appeals: City Council Appoint Nate Ellis to the Golf Commission for a term of two years. Appoint Mike Forstner to the Golf Commission for a term of two years. Appoint Cody Eager to the Park Board Commission Appoint Cody Eager to the Pool Commission. Appoint Nate Ellis to the Pool Commission for two years. Appoint Cody Eager to Solid Waste Commission. Appoint Cody Eager to Wastewater/Water Commission Administrator for Moving Violations: Sam Hansen Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, Larry Schickling, and Dave Whitney, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Cody Eager to accept Officer Ryan Fredrick’s resignation. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, David Whitney and Larry Schickling, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve advertising for a police officer position due to Officer Fredrick’s resignation. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, David Whitney and Larry Schickling, motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, a motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling. Voting against none, motion carried.
