City Council Meeting Monday, March 11, 2019 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager and Dave Whitney. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve the Consent Items. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Larry Schickling, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Cody Eager to adopt Resolution 2019-03, A Resolution approving the Madelia Hospital Foundation Bingo and Raffle request. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa; motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve Road Closure for 2019 as follows: Mike Grote – Saturday, July 13th 1:00-11:00p.m. 1st St. NW from Cox to Dill Memorial Day Parade – May 27th Park Days Parade – July 12th Madelia Community Hospital Scrub Run – July 13th Fire Prevention Week – The week of October 6th Homecoming Parade – Razzle Dazzle Parade – Nov 22nd of said motion, Andy Gappa, Dave Whitney, Larry Schickling and Cody Eager. Motion was approved. Mike Grote absent from the vote. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve to offer position of full- time police officer to Leah Hedberg, contingent on passing background of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Dave Whitney, Larry Schickling and Cody Eager. Motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, Larry Schickling and Dave Whitney. Voting against none, motion carried.
