City Council Meeting Monday, July 22, 2019 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Consent Items. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Larry Schickling, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa, motion was approved. Brent Christensen was present at the meeting to discuss Resolution 2019-10 to the Council. Brent explained by approving this resolution if allows the community to advertise that the community is a telecommuter community. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to adopt Resolution 2019-10, A Resolution for the City of Madelia resolves to seek designation from the State of Minnesota as a Telecommuter Forward! Community. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney, Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa; motion was approved. WW Lift Station project Pay Application No. 1 for $39,425.00 to Rice Lake Construction. Was discussed. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Pay Application No. 1 in the amount of $39,425.00 for payment to Rice Lake Construction. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa; motion was approved. Dave Whitney abstained from the vote. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Cody Eager to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling. Voting against none, motion carried.
