City Council Meeting Monday, August 26, 2019 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager, and Dave Whitney. Larry Schickling was absent. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Consent Items with 1 additional agenda items. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa, motion was approved. Larry Schickling was absent. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to adopt Resolution 2019-11, a Bingo and Raffle License for the St. Mary’s Parish on September 29, 2019. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa; motion was approved. Larry Schickling was absent. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve Down Payment Assistance loan request for Ismael and Patricia Sandoval to purchase a home located at 203 1 st Street SE, in the amount of $9,000.00 with an interest rate of 7% for a period of 10 years. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Dave Whitney, Cody Eager and Andy Gappa motion was approved. Larry Schickling was absent. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to take Chris Fischer off of probationary period. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa; motion was approved. Larry Schickling was absent. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to take Heather Utz off of probationary period. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Dave Whitney, Cody Eager and Andy Gappa; motion was approved. Larry Schickling was absent. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Andy Gappa to hire Cody Eager, Andrew Miller, Jon Gappa and Jacob Sandbo. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Andy Gappa and Dave Whitney; motion was approved. Larry Schickling was absent. Cody Eager abstained from vote. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Cody Eager and Dave Whitney. Voting against none, motion carried.
