City Council Meeting Monday, November 25, 2019 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, and Dave Whitney. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Consent Items. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Cody Eager, and David Whitney, motion was approved. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. A Motion was made by David Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to adopt Resolution 2019-16, a Bingo and Raffle License for the St. Mary’s Church on January 26, 2020. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager and David Whitney; motion was approved. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. A Motion was made by David Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to adopt the wage rates for season and part-time employees for 2020. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager and David Whitney; motion was approved. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by David Whitney to approve advertising a RFP for mowing services in 2020. This approval to advertise for mowing services is due to the retirement/resignation of John Hoeft contract. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager and David Whitney, motion was approved. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. A Motion was made by David Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Out of Darkness Walk sponsored by the American foundation for Suicide Prevention to be held on September 19, 2020. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager and David Whitney, motion was approved. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by David Whitney to approve payment of $65,539.40 for Pay Application #3 to APEX Construction the Street Shop Rebuild project. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, and David Whitney; motion was approved. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by David Whitney to approve final drafted agreement to be signed by the City and Hospital for Madelia Community Hospital to manage the Ambulance personnel for 2020. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, and David Whitney; motion was approved. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by David Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Cody Eager, and Dave Whitney. Voting against none, motion carried. Larry Schickling and Andy Gappa were absent. Typed this 29th day of November 2019.
