City Council Meeting Monday, February 10, 2020 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling and David Whitney. A Motion was made by David Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Consent Items. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Larry Schickling, Andy Gappa and David Whitney, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Andy Gappa to adopt Resolution 2020-3 Approving State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement with the city of Madelia on behalf of its city Attorney and Police Department. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa and Dave Whitney. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to adopt Resolution 2020-4 Resolution Establishing Procedures Relating to compliance with reimbursement bond regulations under the Internal Revenue Code. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa and Dave Whitney. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Larry Schickling to adopt Resolution 2020-5 Resolution Ordering Improvement and Preparation of Plans. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa and Dave Whitney. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve Conditional Use Permit for Robert Brand at 216 Benzel Avenue NW. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Nate Boomgarden to be removed off of probation. Nate has completed 6 months of employment with the City. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve May 4th at 6:00p.m. and May 11th at 6:00p.m. in the City Council Chambers for the Board of Equalization meeting. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve assigning an address to parcel #171770850, 217 Fifth Street SE. Voting in favor of side motion; Mike Grote, Larry Schickling, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Andy Gappa. Motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Larry Schickling to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Larry Schickling, Andy Gappa and Dave Whitney. Voting against none, motion carried.
