City Council Meeting Monday, October 12, 2020 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling and Dave Whitney. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Consent Items with addition of agenda item golf cart lease. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve Ricki Fenske and Don Smith as 2 new hires for the Fire Department. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve hiring James Forstner for the Water/Wastewater Department full time. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve hiring Jesus Lopez for the Street Department full time. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the quote from Automatic Systems Company for Water Treatment Plant SCADA Computer System Upgrade for $20,746.00. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve advertising for 2020-2021 Snow Hauling Contract. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve a 5 year lease agreement for 16 new golf carts for the golf course. This lease agreement includes selling the old 16 carts that the City owns. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. Cody Eager abstained from vote. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Cody Eager to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved.
