City Council Meeting Monday, August 23, 2021 – Fire Hall Basement The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andrew Gappa, Dave Whitney and Glen Christensen. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Resolution 2021-23 A Resolution Proclamation for proclaiming September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Resolution 2021-25 A Resolution approving St. Mary’s Bingo and Raffle Event on September 26, 2021. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Jeff and Tammy Ulmen (Evoke) a full liquor license. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney - Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve hiring 3 applicants for the Fire Department. This is an increase of one from the last approval of 2. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes and Dave Whitney. Motion was approved. Cody Eager abstained from vote. A Motion was made by Glen Christensen and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve the $100 increase request for the Fire Relief Pension amount. This increase takes the amount from $1600 to $1700 per service year. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes and Dave Whitney. Motion was approved.
