City Council Meeting Monday, December 27, 2022 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Glen Christensen and Dave Whitney. Andy Gappa was absent Others presented were Chris Fischer, Chief Prescher, Heather Utz, Ryan Visher, Phyllis Schickling, Mark Slater, Kathy Guyer, Jim Pettersen, John Watts, Caleb Fenske, Melissa Fenske, Michelle Rusten, Mia Johnson and Michelle VanHee. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Consent Items with one additional item: 1. Sidewalk easement for Lot 1, Block 4 of McLean’s First Addition to the Village of Madelia. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes and Dave Whitney - Yes. Motion was approved. Andy Gappa was absent. Check Report Attached A Motion was made by Glen Christensen and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Mike Denn to the Light Plant Commission for 2023-2025. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Dave Whitney- Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. Andy Gappa was absent. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Mike Forstner to the Golf Commission for 2023-2024 with the contingency of receiving an application. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Dave Whitney-yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. Andy Gappa was absent. A Motion was made by Glen Christensen and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Kathlyn Bottelson to the Park Commission for 2023-2025. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Cody Eager- Yes. Motion was approved. Andy Gappa was absent. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Pay Request #13 PHLAG for $39,405.00. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote- Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. Andy Gappa was absent. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Pay Request #1 Meier Electric Inc. for SCADA and Control Improvements for $36,670.00. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved. Andy Gappa was absent. A Motion was made by Glen Christensen and seconded by Cody Eager to approve taking easement responsibility for the sidewalk at Lot 1, Block 4, McLean’s First Addition. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved. Andy Gappa was absent.
