Human Relations and Equity Committee Meeting Madison Heights, Michigan March 19, 2026 A Human Relations and Equity Committee Meeting was held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6:30 PM at Library - Breckenridge Room, 240 W. 13 Mile Rd. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Brown at 6:33 P.M. ROLL CALL PRESENT Andrew Attard Aaron Brown Tanner Langdon Teresa Scott Council Representative Quinn Wright Lamphere Student Liaison Aaron Dockery Also present Heather Hames, Staff Liaison. Motion made by Langdon to excuse Yu, Jarvie and Strunk, Seconded by Attard. All ayes, motion passed unanimously. ABSENT Rebecca Chambliss Kate Kapas APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Minutes of February 19, 2026 Motion made by Langdon to approve the minutes of February 19, 2026, Seconded by Attard. All ayes, motion passed unanimously. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC None. WORK PLAN ITEMS 2. a. Adaptive Game Night - March 25, 2026 - volunteers needed. Dockery and Brown volunteered to help with set up. Tabled discussing date for next Adaptive Game Night. 1  Motion made by Attard to co-sponsor the Library's Sensory Movie Day on July 8, 2026 and approve $50 for supplies, Seconded by Langdon. All ayes, motion passed unanimously. b. Community Resources website - subcommittee is gathering resources and plan to update the webpage quarterly. 3. a. Arts and Pride - planning is going well. Sponsorship and vendor information is out to the public. There are currently 13 registered and paid vendors. b. Community Ofrenda - Motion made by Langdon to create a subcommittee for the Community Ofrenda to include Dockery. Additional interested members can be added as needed, Seconded by Attard. All ayes, motion passed unanimously. c. Lantern Festival - Date is set for May 30, 2026. d. Revin' in the Heights - Date is set for September 19, 2026. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Tabled discussing date for next Adaptive Game Night. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 7:02 P.M. by Vice Chair Brown. 2
