OPEN SPACE, RECREATION AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMTTEE MINUTES - NOVEMBER 12, 2014 NEXT MEETING: January 14, 2015, 7:30 PM, Committee Room at Hartley Dodge Memorial Building. Please notify the Chair if unable to attend. PRESENT: A. Baillie, C. Coultas, L. Ellis, P. Hiscano, C. Kellogg, T. Piscula, W. Van Ryzin MINUTES: Motion made and passed to accept the minutes as written. Piscula/Hiscano QUARTERLY REPORT: A. Quarterly report of the Open Space Fund activity given at the last Council meeting. B. Robert Kalafut is being asked to provide the reports. C. The reports should be distributed to us before going to the Council. D. $250,000 expected in the fund by the end of the year. E. Councilman Patrick Rowe has asked what might be in the pipeline for next year. Hard to anticipate who will apply and for how much. DOG PARK: A. Letter of Intent outdated so we could try for an extension. B. DEP may change the wetlands criteria in the Memorial Park area near the proposed Dog Park. FUNDING GUIDELINES: A. METC may apply for Open Space Funds for a new boiler. Is this an appropriate request. B. Guidelines need to be developed. Review the Ordinance and discuss guidelines at the next meeting. C. Suggestion that we review the County Guidelines/rules. ADJOURNED TO EXECUTIVE SESSION. RETURN TO REGULAR SESSION.
