OPEN SPACE, RECREATION AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION MINUTES October 9, 2014 NEXT MEETING: November 12, 2014, 7:30 at Hartley Dodge Memorial Building PRESENT: A. Baillie, C. Coultas, M. Durham, P. Hiscano, M. Monohan, J. Mullins, B. Van Ryzin CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 7:32 M MINUTES: Motion made and passed to accept the minutes as written. Mullins/Baillie EXECUTIVE SESSION CALLED EXECUTIVE SESSION COMPLETED – REGULAR MEETING RECONVENED ACTIVITY REPORT: A. METC work has started B. Parks Committee inquiring if they could submit applications ona yearly basis for Park Project. Estimated $20,000 1. Would need to have an application submission every year 2. Project description 3. Budget included 4. Advice not to call project maintenance but more specific such as Invasive Plant Management C. Dog Park – meeting with the Pool Board of Trustees needs to be scheduled D. Astri Baillie will check with Ray Codeyon the acquisition of the Jewish Synagogue land between the Pool and the highway. Property would be added to Memorial Park E. The Open Space Committee felt a report on the Funds activity should be done by the Borough and submitted to us on a regular basis.
