PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Powell led the Pledge to the Flag. C. ROLL CALL Present 5 - Mayor Wayne Powell, Mayor Pro Tem Mark Burton, Councilmember Tony D'Errico, Councilmember David J. Lesser, and Councilmember Amy Howorth D. CERTIFICATION OF MEETING NOTICE AND AGENDA POSTING City Clerk Liza Tamura confirmed that the meeting was properly posted. E. PUBLIC COMMENTS Viet Ngo alledged Brown Act violations. City Attorney Quinn Barrow stated that the meeting was properly noticed. F. ANNOUNCEMENT IN OPEN SESSION OF ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION At 5:07 PM City Attorney Quinn Barrow read into the record the following Closed Session items: 1. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR (Government Code Section 54957.6) Agency Negotiator: Mark Danaj, City Manager Employee Groups: Manhattan Beach Firefighters' Association; Manhattan Beach Police Officers' Association; Manhattan Beach Police Management Association; Management Confidential; Teamsters and Part-Time Employees City of Manhattan Beach Page 1 City Council Meeting Meeting Minutes - Final April 21, 2015 2. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL (ANTICIPATED LITIGATION) a. (Government Code Section 54956.9 (d) (4)) The City Council is considering initiating litigation in one case. b. (Government Code Section 54956.9 (d) (2)) A point has been reached where, in the opinion of the City Council on the legal advice of the City Attorney, based on existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant exposure to litigation in one case. G. RECESS INTO CLOSED SESSION The City Council recessed into Closed Session at 5:07 PM. H. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION The City Council reconvened into Open Session at 6:00 PM. I. CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT IN OPEN SESSION The City Attorney announced that City Council gave direction with respect to items 2a and 2b. There are no other reportable actions taken.
