ROLL CALL Present 5 - Mayor Wayne Powell, Mayor Pro Tem Mark Burton, Mayor Pro Tem Tony D'Errico, Councilmember David J. Lesser, and Councilmember Amy Howorth C. CERTIFICATION OF MEETING NOTICE AND AGENDA POSTING City Clerk Liza Tamura confirmed that the meeting was properly posted. D. PUBLIC COMMENTS The following individuals provided public comment: Ed Caprielian Gerry O'Connor E. ANNOUNCEMENT IN OPEN SESSION OF ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION At 4:40 PM City Attorney Quinn Barrow read into the record the following Closed Session item: CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL-(ANTICIPATED LITIGATION) (Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2) A point has been reached where, in the opinion of the City Council on the advice of the City Attorney, based on existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant exposure to litigation in one case. By letter emailed on June 15, 2015, the Law Offices of Kelly Aviles demanded that the City cure or correct an alleged violation of the Brown Act, concerning the separation agrrement with the former Human Relations Director, and to cease and desist as to any possible future violations. F. RECESS INTO CLOSED SESSION The City Council recessed into Closed Session at 4:52 PM. G. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION The City Council reconvened into Open Session at 6:00 PM. H. CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT IN OPEN SESSION The City Attorney announced that there were two concurrent closed sessions starting at 4:30 PM. There was no other reportable action. I.
