The Board of Review for the City of Manistee met on Monday March 13t", 2017 in the Second Floor Conference Room, at
City Hall, 70 Maple Street for the first meeting of the March Board of Review. Meeting was called to order by the
Chairperson at 3: 00 P. M.
Members present Chariperson: Judianne Sibley, Mary Kowalski Wilhelm and T. Eftaxiadis.
Other Present: Assessor Whetstone and Secretary Heather Pefley
Call for public comment: None given
Petition 1 Kenneth Warren, 51- 764- 702- 01
Petitioner questioned his value and presented the Board with pictures of his property. A motion by
Eftaxidias to lower the Class to D and change the depreciation to 45% due to documentation presented
support by Wilhelm. All in favor motion passed to change Assessed from$ 30, 300 to$ 19, 200
Petition 2 Donald Kilter, 51- 146- 710- 12
Petitioner questioned his value. Motion was made by Wilhelm to deny request due to no documentation
for the Board to look at with support by Sibley. Motion passed.

the Board to look at with support by Wilhelm. Motion passed.
Petition 4 Littler River Band of Ottawa Indian, 51- 448- 731- 03
Petitioner was represented by Brian Werschem, talked about the value of this property. Motion by
Eftaxiadis support by Sibley to deny request as the petition did not provide any market or income analysis
for the Board to consider. Motion passed.
Petition 5 Little River Band of Ottawa Indian, 51- 146- 724- 07
Petitioner was represented by Brian Werschem, talked about combining this parcel with the House of
Flavor parcel. Motion by Sibley support by Wilhelm to deny request as all combinations in the City of
Manistee must be approved by the planning commission, Motion passed.

Petitioner was represented by Brian Werschem, talked about the value of this property. Motion by
Eftaxiadis support by Sibley to deny request as the petition did not provide any market or income analysis
for the Board to consider. Motion passed.

Petitioner questioned his value, upon looking at the record card it was determined that the completion of
the building was put at 100% not complete. Motion by Eftaxiadis with support by Wilhelm to lower the
completion to 65% and to change the Assessed Value from 81, 000 to 56, 900 and the Taxable from
81, 000 to 56, 470. Motion passed.
Petition 9- 38 A Motion was made by Eftaxiadis with support by Wilhelm to grant the Veterans Exemptions to the listed
Parcels and to make the Assessed and Taxable Values to Zero. Motion Carried

Board of Review came back into session on Tuesday March 14th at 9: 00 a, m. in the Second Floor Conference Room, at
City Hall, 70 Maple Street for the first meeting of the March Board of Review. Meeting was called to order by the
Chairperson at 3: 00 P. M.
