CORRESPONDENCE – LetterfromCityManager,ThadTaylortoKeithBrownindicating thatPEG’sfundingrequestof $25,000isproposedtobeeliminated. Duringfollowing discussion,Zielinskisaidthatnothinginthecity’sproposedbudgetisfinal. Further informationindicatedthat “TheCityintendstoinvestintechnologythatwillallowitto recordandplayand/orstreamovertheinternetCouncilandothermeetings.” Lind expressedinterestinseeingalineitemforpurchasingequipmentandqueriedhowit wouldbe ‘manned’. LindvolunteeredtomakeapresentationaboutPEGatthepublicbudgethearing scheduledforTuesday,April18. ErvinandBrownvolunteeredtohelpprepare information. Furtherobservations: TheCity’sbudgetisnotlikelytogrowthusthechallengeisto maintainservices. Allaspectsofthebudgetwillbereviewed. Zielinskisaidthatthegoal wastosetthecity “. . .ontherightpath.” V. EXECUTIVEDIRECTOR’SREPORT – Seeattached ErvinsharedanoteshereceivedinpraiseofPEG’scoverageofpublicmeetingsdealing withtheSewerProjectinBearLake,ArcadiaandOnekama. Thepersonattendedthe meetinginArcadiaandwrote: “Iwantedtoletyouknowhowhelpfulithasbeentobe abletoviewthesewerhearings/meetingsonManisteeTV (P.E.G.),it’sawonderful resource. IwatchedtheArcadiaMeetingandIwasabletohearandunderstandthe questionsandanswerstoandfromthepresenters. . . .” Itwasdeemedthatthegoalsfortapingthemeetingshadbeenmet:  Contentwasputonlinewithinanhour. Governmentalunitsagreedtopayasmallfeefortheservice ($100each –yetto bereceived). Ervinwillfollow-upre:payment/procedure. ManisteeTV’spresencewasrecognizedandappreciated. VI. StrategicPlanWork – CouncilreviewedErvin’sdraftofPEGMissionandVisionstatements. NewVideographer –ErvinwillconsultwithBrowntodraftanadforreviewbythe Commissionforanentry-levelvolunteertoassistwithtaping. B.
