MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION o" MINUTES OF APRIL 12, 2010 The Manistee City Council met in a work session on Monday,April 12, 2010 at 7: 00 p. Council m., Chambers, City Hall. MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard Mack,Ilona Haydon, Colleen Kenny,Hank Yonkman, Alan Marshall arrived at 8: 10 p. m. MEMBERS ABSENT: Bob Hornkohl, Second District Council Seat OTHERS PRESENT: Department Directors, Public and Media Discussion on 2010-2011 Fiscal Year Budget, 2011-201 S Capital Improvement Plan. City Manager Mitch Deisch asked if there were any additional questions on refuse and reviewed refuse changes. Councilmember Yonkman indicated that he has changed his opinion on the refuse decision, which he now does not support. City Manager Mitch Deisch made a PowerPoint presentation to Council, answering recent questions asked by Council and citizens relating to the proposed budget. Finance Director Ed Bradford discussed Capital Improvement Fund, went over one year plan. Councilmember Kenney concerned with having annual upgrades ( computers, DDA maintenance). Majority of Council requested staff to develop a transition plan for the Public Safety Director position. No additional budget issues were discussed.
