PROCEEDINGS OF THE MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL – November 6, 2013 A regular meeting of the Manistee City Council was scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 70 Maple Street. A quorum was not present. No actions were taken. PRESENT: Colleen Kenny, Edward Cote, and Robert Hornkohl. ABSENT: Robert Goodspeed, Catherine Zaring, Beth Adams, and Eric Gustad. ALSO PRESENT: City Manager – Mitch Deisch, City Clerk – Michelle Wright, DPW Director – Jeff Mikula, Finance Director – Ed Bradford, and City Engineer – Shawn Middleton / Spicer Group. PRESENTATION ON SANITARY SEWER EVALUATION STUDY (SSES) AND SAW GRANT. A presentation was given by Jeff Mikula – DPW Director and Shawn Middleton – City Engineer on the Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study (SSES) and the SAW Grant. The City of Manistee is considered a disadvantaged community and has the possibility of receiving SAW Grant funds with no matching funds required. Applications for the SAW Grant are due by December 2, 2013. Authorization by the Council to apply for these funds will be a Council agenda item at the November 19, 2013 regular meeting.
