PROCEEDINGS OF THE MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL – DECEMBER 19, 2022 A special meeting of the Manistee City Council was called to order by her honor, Mayor Jermaine Sullivan on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 70 Maple Street, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. PRESENT: Lynda Beaton, Jermaine Sullivan, Seth Pratt, James Grabowski, and Erin Martin Pontiac ABSENT: David Bachman and Cindy Lundberg ALSO PRESENT: City Manager – Bill Gambill, Attorney – Jeffrey Schroder, City Clerk – Heather Pefley CITIZEN COMMENTS ON AGENDA RELATED ITEMS None received. CONSIDERATION OF A CLOSED SESSION, ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGED COMMUNICATIONS. Request to convene a closed session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, PA 267 of 1976, pursuant to MCL 15.268(1)(h) to discuss attorney-client privileged communications in a memo from legal counsel dated December 16, 2022. MOTION by Beaton, second by Grabowski to proceed to Closed Session. TIME: 6:01 p.m. With a roll call vote this motion passed unanimously.
