MANISTEE CITY HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION NOTES OF FEBRUARY 9, 2010 The City of Manistee Historic District Commission met in a worksession Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Executive Council Chambers, City Hall, 70 Maple Street, Manistee, Michigan. Members Present: Maria DeRee, T. Eftaxiadis, Teena Kracht, John Perschbacher Members Absent: Dave Carlson, Mary Murton, Nathaniel Neider (excused), Others Present: Jon Rose (Community Development Director), and Denise Blakeslee Worksession began at 2:00 p.m. WORKSESSION ITEMS Demolition Procedures for Contributing Buildings Discussion by the Commission included < Review of Draft Policy < A Site Visit should be part of the review process and should be scheduled during the meeting when the request is reviewed. < Application should be created < Review sheet for members < How to score the requests to determine if the building is of significant status < If determined to be of significant status more information may be required. Staff will work on Policy, Application and Review Sheet for the March Meeting.
