Minutes Manistee Housing Commission November 16,2023 Regular Meeting The regular meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by President Steve Fosdick Roll Call: Steve Fosdick Karen Goodman Jim Smith Gini Pelton James Taylor Stalf Laurie Hatchew Mark Sochocki Amendments to the Agenda: None It was moved by commissioner Smith, supported by commissioner Taylor to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes, and the Bills & Disbursements for October 2023. Motion canied Old Business a It was moved by Commissioner Goodman, supported by Commissioner Taylor to authorize the Chair to provide a letter of support fbr the ROSS Grant Service Coordinator. Motion was carried. New Business: a It was moved by commissioner Pelton, supported by commissioner Smith to scnd out the RFP for RAD Consultants to a list of prospective consultants. Motion carried. b. The commissioners discussed having a holiday resident event after the December Commission meeting. c The financial reports were reviewed and discussed Presentation and Discussion a. The Executive Director commented on Pest  Control Agreement negotialions, the Assistant Director doing an amazing job helping get lots ofunfinished work completed and the completion olthe scattered site inspections. b. Commissioner Pelton commented on residents still smoking in front of the buildings on 6th Avenue. Commissioner Taylor commented on the need for leaf removal at Harborview. President Fosdick recommended that everyone get a COVID vaccination. c Received Communication Residenl appreciation email. d The Vacancy Report was discussed. e. The Newsletters were reviewed Public Comments. Comments were heard during hearing ofthe public regarding a resident on 12th Street.
