MANISTEE AREA PEG COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES June 25,2003 A regularly scheduled meeting of the Manistee Area PEG Commission was held on June 25, 2003 at 6: m. in raom 113 of the Manistee High School, 525 Twelfth Street, Manistee, Michigan. 00 p. MEMBERS PRESENT: J. Mencarelli, J. Ball,M.Tillotson, M. Carlson MEMBERS ABSENT: N.Leslie OTHERS PRESENT: S. Scrimger There was a motion by BaII, seconded by Carlson to accept the rninutes ofthe April 16, 2003 meeting. Motion was passed 4- 0. Channel update - Mencarelli presented a channel log and gave special thanks to Mark Carlson for the work he did with the scroll and tape preparation. He also updated the commission on current progratnming goats and methods. Discussion of contract for broadcast operations - There was a motion by Tillotson, seconded by Ball to move ahead with an ad to receive interested and qualified applicants for the position of program manager. Applications will be reviewed at the next meeting. Discussion of operating forms & procedures -Mencarelli suggested that pragrammers should be prepared for Channel 2. The consensus was that this required to use the "request for air time"forms wauld be appropriate. No tnotion was ma.de. Mencarelli also presented a draft copy ofrevised operating policies and procedures for discussian. Members agreed to review the document for discussion at the next meeting. It was agreed to hold the next meeting in room 113 of the Manistee High School on Twelfth Street. The date for the next meeting was set for July 25,2003. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7: 20 p. m.
