MArTISTEE AREA PEG COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES November 19,2003 A regularly scheduled meeting of the Manistee Area PEG Commission was held on November 19,2003 at 6: 30 m. in room 113 of the Manistee High School, 525 Twelfth Street, Manistee, Michigan. p. MEMBERS PRESENT: J.Mencarelli, M. Tillotson, N.Leslie, L.Trucks MEMBERS ABSENT: J.Ba11, M. Carlson, Kathy Fenstermacher OTHERS PRESENT: S. Scrimger, K.Brown There was a motion by Tillotson, seconded by Trucks to accept the minutes of the October 15, 2003 meeting. Motion was passed 4-0. There was a motion by Tillotson, seconded by Leslie to accept the contract for the Executive Director and forwaxd it to the Manistee City Council and the Filer Township Board for approval. Motion passed 4- 0. There was a motion by Trucks, seconded by Tillotson to authorize the executive director to join the Alliance for Community Media in the name of the PEG Commission. Motion passed 4- 0. Mr. Brown gave a direetor's report. There was a motion by Trucks, seconded by Leslie to accept the mission statement presented without the statement "without commercial interference or influence" Motion passed 4-0. A discussion of bylaws was tabled until the next meeting. There was a motion by Trucks, seconded by Leslie to purchase T- a" P Mini- ro"controller for the broadcast site at a cost of not more than $ 900. Motion passed 4- 0. There was a motion by Trucks, seconded by Leslie to authorize Mr.Brown to make any purchases under $ 200 within the authorized budget. Motion passed 4- 0. There was a motion by Leslie, seconded by Trucks to authorize the Executive Director to make arrangements for a phone for PEG at the High School under the best available method at a cost not to exceed $325. Motion passed 4- 0. There was a motion by Tillotson, seconded by Leslie to authorize payment of $ 90 1 ,49. to the Executive 1 Director for services from 10/ 0319/through 11/ 03 23/and reimbursements. Motion passed 4- 0. It was agreed to hold the next meeting in room 113 of the Manistee High School on Twelfth Street. The date for the next meeting was set for December 17, 2003. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8: 27 p. m..
