F MA~ 4~ AlMANISTEE AREA PEG COMMISSION sMEETING MINUTES July 10,2006 A regularly scheduled meeting of the Manistee Area PEG Commission was held on July 10,2006 at 6:30 m. in room the administrative conference room of the Manistee High School, 525 Twelfth Street, p. Manistee, Michigan. MEMBERS PRESENT: L.Trucks, K.Ervin, M. Sandstedt, D.Kruse, D.Freeburg, D.Wrzesinski MEMBERS ABSENT: K.Alexander OTHERS PRESENT: S. Scrimger There was a motion by Freeburg seconded by Kruse to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed 5-0 There was a motion by Kruse, seconded by Freeburg to approve the minutes of the May 8,2006 meeting with correction made as noted. Motion was passed 5- 0. Mr. Wrzesinski entered the meeting at this time. Mr. Trucks gave the Executive Directors report for May and June. The report was accepted without objection. There was a motion by Freeburg, seconded by Sandstedt to approve the Executive Directors invoice. Motion passed 6- 0 There was a motion by Freeburg, seconded by Sandstedt to approve reimbursement to Keith Brown for 71.75. Motion passed 6-0 There was discussion of the meeting date. Consensus is that the current date and time is acceptable. There was a motion by Freeburg, seconded by Wrzesinski to approve the purchase of a new camera, not to exceed $ 3,000. (Panasonic camcorder with accessories) Motion passed 6- 0 There was a motion by Sandstedt, seconded by Kruse to formalize the PEG Commissions opposition to any legislation that would inhibit the provision of Public Access TV and direct the Staff Liaison to draft and forwazd a document to this effect. Motion passed 6-0 It was agreed to hold the next meeting in the conference room of the Manistee High School on Twelfth Street. The date for the next meeting was set for Monday, September 11, 2006. There was a motion by Kruse, seconded by Freeburg to adjourn the meeting at approximately 7: 15 p. m.. Motion passed 6- 0
