TREE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES ~+ 12~ A", S~ JUNE 59 2006 '" MEMBERS PRESENT: Pat Sagala, Mary Ann Johnson, Bob Johnson, Nicole Clyne, Pat Williams, Priscilla Rulison, Pam Schindlbeck MEMBERS ABSENT: None OTHERS PRESENT: Jack Garber, StaffLiaison Pat Sagala called meeting to order at 6: 00 p. m. Motion by Phyllis, seconded by Bob to accept May l,2006 Minutes and place on file. OLD BUSINESS Tree Ptanting 2006: Tree planting bids have been advertised. Bid opening will be Friday, June 9,2006 at 10:00 a.m. Trees will be planted in July or early August. Chalk Art Contest : will be held on Friday,June 30,2006 at the fountai.n ( Pine River Street).Registration will be at 4: 30 p. m. and contest begin at 5: 00 p.m. Interested members are encouraged to help with the contest and be on site by 4:30 p.m. US Forestry has donated seventy-five bags for the contest. These bags contain pencils, stickers, books, etc. We will also include a coupon for a ice cream cone from Dairy Queen A big thank you to the US Forest Service. GOOD OF TBE ORDER None NEW BUSINESS Pat Willliams sent a letter to owners on Division Street aski.ng tliem to please water their trees, as some were looking very dry. John Delia Stump Removal is in right now. Stumps will be grinded out and black dirt and grass seed placed in the ho1e. General discussion was held on the birch worm attacking several trees in town.  There being no further business, Motion by Pat, seconded by Bobthat we adjourn. All in favor.
