c MANISTEE AREA PEG COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES May 12,2008 ''~ Ar~s̀~ A regularly scheduled meeting of the Manistee Area PEG Commission was held on May 12, 2008 at 6:27 p.m. in the conference room of the Manistee High School, 525 Twelfth Street, Manistee, Michigan. MEMBERS PRESENT: Ervin,Kruse, Sandstedt, Trucks, Zaring MEMBERS ABSENT: Freeburg, Wrzesinski (both excused) OTFIERS PRESENT: K.Brown, C.Westberg There was a motion by Trucks, supported by Sandstedt to approve the agenda with additions made by K.Brown of: Student Commission Member and Presentation to City on May 20. Motion passed 5- 0 There was a motion by Kruse, supported by Zaring,to approve the minutes of the Mazch 10, 2008 meeting. Motion passed 5- 0 Mark Sandstedt gave an update on the survey being done thru WSCC. There has not been a good response at this time. They are going to try to improve the number of responses. People answering the survey, for the most part, are not in favor of an additiona122 cents inerease. There was some discussion on this. D.report and told members that PEG has received an increase from Keith Brown gave his E. Filer Twp. Trucks commented on having someone from Kiwanis intern to tape shows etc. Under unfinished business - Tribal Management, Zaring said everything regarding an office; studio, etc. for PEG is on hold due to other projects. He has watched the first 30 minute tape that has been done. New Business - Keith stated PEG still does not have a Student/Youth Member which the City is trying to do for all the commissions. If you know of someone interested in doing this please contact him. Concerns & Comments - Zaring had a conversation with a Manistee Twp. Supervisor who stated the Township would rather be approached with an equipment needs list than requests for more money. The next meeting date was set for Monday, July 14 at 6: m. in the conference room at 30 p. Manistee High School. There was a motion by Kruse, seconded by Zaring to adjourn at 6: 50 p. m.
