TREE COMMISSION MEETING U rl\ lW MINUTES MAY 5,2008 MEMBERS PRESENT: Pat Sagala,Pat Williams,Ma.ry Ann Johnson, Bob Johnson, Priscilla Rulison, Cookie Friedrich MEMBERS ABSENT: None THERS PRESENT: O' Jack Garber, StaffLiaison, Kathie Boyle Pat Sagala called meeting to order at 5: 00 p. m. Motion by P.Williams second by B.7ohnson to accept Apri17, 2008 Minutes and place on file. OLD BUSINESS Bylaws: Adopted bylaws were distributed to members. Chalk Art Contest: Pat S. contacted the Chamber and information will be publicized in the Forest Festival brochures. Pat S. And Pat W. will go to the U.S.Forestry for donations. Pat W. will get article to the newspaper. Tree Cutting: Not completely done - still need to finish up in Szymarek Park. Tree Planting: A tree planting program will also take place this year. Residents may purcha.se a 25.00. The need to water the trees after planting needs to be emphasized to the boulevard tree for $ public. Will get a notice to the paper after stump removal regarding the program. GOOD OF THE ORDER None NEW BUSINESS Sturnp Removal: Will take place in 7une - probably take a couple days to complete. Next meeting will be September 8,2008 at 5: m. at City Hall first floor conference room. Pat 00 p. S. will contact members before "Chalk Art Contest"with final details. There being no further business, Motion by P. Williams, second by C.Friedrich that we adjoum. All in favor.
