MINUTES APRIL 7,2008 MEMBERS PRESENT: Pat Sagala, Pat Williams, Mary Ann Johnson, Bob Johnson, Priscilla Rulison, Cookie Fredrich MEMBERS ABSENT: None OTBERS PRESENT: Jack Garber, StaffLiaison, Kathie Boyle Pat Sagala called meeting to order at 5: 00 p. m. Motion by B.Johnson second by M.7ohnson to accept February 4,2008 Minutes and place on file. OLD BUSINESS Bylaws_Bylaws were discussed and reviewed. Motion by P.Williams, second by C.Fredrich that the Tree Commission Bylaws be approved and forwarded to City Council for approval. GOOD OF TBE ORDER None NEW BUSINESS Chalk Art Contest: It was decided to again hold the annual chalk art contest. This year the contest will be held on July 3,2008 in the same location as last yeaz, only change will be to hold the contest at 4: 00 p. m. instead of 5: m. P. Williams will notify the paper and P. Sagala will notify the 00 p. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S.Forestry. K.Boyle will contact the Dairy Queen. All members volunteered to assist on the contest. Tree Cuiting: J. Garber informed the committee tha.t tree cutting and trimming are almost complete. Right now they are cleaning up Szymarek Park. Tree Planting: A tree planting program will also take place this year. Residents may purchase a boulevard tree for $ 25. 00. The need to water the trees after planting needs to be' emphasized to the public. Will get a notice to the paper in May regarding the program. There being no further business, Motion by P. Williams, second by M. Johnson that we adjourn. All in favor.  at City Hall first floor conference room.
