TREE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES JUNE 11,2007 SAI NSV-1- MEMBERS PRESENT: Pat Sagala, Mary Ann Johnson, Bob Johnson, Nicole Clyne, Priscilla Rulison MEMBERS ABSENT: Pam Schindlbeck, Pat Williams OTHERS PRESENT: Jack Garber, StaffLiaison,Kathie Boyle Pat Sagala called meeting to order at 5: 00 p. m. Motion by Mary Ann.,second by Priscilla to accept May 14, 2007 Minutes and place on file. OLD BUSINESS Tree Planting 2006: Dufon Landscaping will plant a Crimson King next week at the Waterworks Building in honor of Bo6 Davis for his years of service to the Tree Commission. Jack will contact Pat S. after planting for photo and article for the newspaper. Chalk Art Contest: Will be held on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the fountain (Pine & River Street). Registration will be at 4: 30 p. m. and contest begin at 5: m. Interested members are encouraged 00 p. tohelp with the contest and be on the site by 4: 30 p.m. Kathie will get coupons from Dairy Queen, Jack and Pat S. will contact U.S.Forestry for donations and Pat S. will get books for prizes. GOOD OF TI- IE ORDER None NEW BUSINESS Wznd Storm: A wind storm on Thursday, June 8, 2007 took down six trees in the city, also a considerable amount of tree limbs. Iapafaese Wasps: Bob informed the committee of the Japanese wasp which only goes after the emerald bore ash larvae. They are not heard of in our area. There being no further business, Motion by Bob, second by Mary Ann that we adjourn. All in favor. Next meeting will be Mondav, Aupust 14, 2007 at 5: 00 p. m. at City Hall.
