TREE COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES NOVMEBER 8, 2021 MEMBERS PRESENT: Gerald Haw, John Helge, Zach Sompels, Angela Rabb, Sam Corem OTHERS PRESENT: Kathie Boyle, Jeff Mikula, City of Manistee A special meeting of the Manistee Tree Commission was called to order by Chair Helge on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 5:32 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approval of September 20, 2021, minutes. All in Favor NEW BUSINESS Teller Limb Request Compromise/View Shed Plan - Each member was given the opportunity to address this request. After discussion - Motion to postpone this potential compromise indefinitely. All in Favor. COMMENTS Sompels reached out to a professor at Grand Valley State University to do an inventory of city trees. Great idea. Still looking for two members to fill the Tree Commission. By-Laws have been forwarded to City Attorney for review, will send back to commission for approval before going to City Council. Meeting time for 2022 will remain @ 5:00 p.m. Motion to adjourn at 6:08 p.m. All in Favor Next meeting date –Monday, January 10, 2022 @ 5:00 p.m. in the 3rd floor Council Chambers, City Hall.
