City of Manistee Tree Commission Meeting Minutes July 10, 2023 Members Present John Helge, Vidar Lerum, Sam Coram, Gerald Haw Unexcused Dennis Otto Others Present Katie Trivisonno, Jeff Mikula City of Manistee A meeting of the Manistee Tree Commission was called to order by Chair John Helge on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 5:00 pm in council chambers at City Hall. Roll Call Approval of Agenda Amendments to the Agenda-Updates on Tree inventory and Bylaws. Approved. Public Comment Randy and Michelle Pepera requested approval of the removal of diseased tree on city right-of-way. Approval of Minutes Approval of meeting minutes from June 12, 2023. Unfinished Business Tree inventory program is in place. MCC High School student volunteers are inputting data using mobile GIS application. New Business Trim for View policy was rejected by City Council so there will be no more discussion on the policy. Manistee Plant a Tree Promotion. Request for Proposals have been advertised for tree planting contractors. Tree orders to date are 35 trees. Bylaws-Revision of Bylaws to comply with City Ordinance.
