Present: 10 - McMeans, Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Kummer, Czekala, Novak, Lotz, Williams, Brey and
Hansen
3. Public Comment
Council President Sitkiewitz declared the meeting open for public input. In
accordance with policy, the public input portion of the meeting is not made
a part of the official record.
4. Discussion and Action Items
20-0026 2020 Operations of the Manitowoc Farmers Market

Committee discussed plan for 2020 Farmers Market as Grow It Forward
did not renew the management agreement with the City for 2020.
Community Development Director and Mayor Nickels indicated that the
City will be maintaining the Farmers Market for 2020 and is looking to hire
a new manager for 2020. Based on the past agreements with Grow It
Forward, the cost for the management position would be around $6,000.
Moved by Brey, seconded by Williams, to authorize City to hire a Farmers Market
manager for 2020 at a cost not to exceed $6,000.00 and refer to council. The
motion carried by the following vote:

Council President Sitkiewitz read the notice to convene in closed session: Notice is hereby given
that the above governmental body may adjourn into a closed session during the meeting as
authorized by Section 19.85(1)(e) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the governmental
body to convene in closed session for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of
public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business,
whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session.
The specific subject matter that may be considered in closed session is:

Notice is hereby given that the above governmental body may adjourn into a closed session during
the meeting as authorized by Section 19.85(1)(g) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the
governmental body to convene in closed session for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for
the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by
the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved.
The specific subject matter that may be considered in closed session is:

Manitowoc, or a standing committee of that body, may be present at this meeting to
