Moved by Czekala, seconded by Lotz, that this Communication be placed on file and referred to Council for consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Howe, Lotz, Czekala, Williams and Jacobs 6. Discussion and Action Items - New Business City of Manitowoc Page 2 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes July 8, 2019 19-0774 Request to remove the four angled parking stalls on the north side of Washington Street between South 7th Street and South 8th Street (two west of the driveway and 2 east of the driveway). Attachments: Re_ Angled Parking on Washington St. - S. 7th to S. 8th St. Photo 1 Photo 2 Photo 3 Washington St. between S 7th St and S 8th St. Recommendation from Engineering Division Manager, Greg Minikel to return the 4 angled parking stalls back to parallel parking on the North side of Washington Street from South 7th Street to South 8th Street. Moved by Czekala, seconded by Williams, that this Request be approved and placed on file. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Howe, Lotz, Czekala, Williams and Jacobs 19-0776 Request for 2-hour parking on the West side of South 8th Street between W. Marshall Street and Hamilton Street, In front of Burbey CPA LLC business frontage. Attachments: 2-hour parking sign request along S 8th St. in front of Burbey CPA Moved by Czekala, seconded by Jacobs, that this Request be placed on file and referred to Council for consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Howe, Lotz, Czekala, Williams and Jacobs 19-0777 Discussion regarding 2-hour Parking on York Street between North 7th Street and North 10th Street, and North 9th Street between Maritime Drive and York Street. Attachments: IMG_1465 IMG_1466 IMG_1467 York Street 2-hour parking The Public Safety Committee would like to direct Engineering staff to work with John Cress to possibly add public parking stalls in this area. A motion was made by Alder Czekala to eliminate the sunset clause on the current ordinance. Moved by Czekala, seconded by Jacobs, that this Communication be placed on file and referred to Council.
