2019 Proposed - Mission - Vision
Due to change in culture and being almost two decades ago that the
current Mission, Vision, and Value Statement was created for the
Manitowoc Fire and Rescue Department, a committee was formed to
address the foundation of the department. The committee was comprised
of all levels of the department and led by Captain Jeff Keehan. The
attached documents supply the current and proposed changes that would
be made. Chief Blaser is asking simply for the support of the Police and
Fire Commission in accepting the proposed changes provided by the
committee. Commissioner Hennessey feels the mission statement is
definitely an improvement, but her personal preference for the vision
statement would be to keep the current one. However, if the people that are
developing it and living by it every day are committed to the proposed
vision statement Commissioner Hennessey will certainly support that.
Moved by Hennessey, seconded by Sauer, that this Request be placed on file.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 5- Wellner, Sauer, Zigmunt, Hennessey and Bare
6. Discussion and Action Items - New Business
19-0647 Police Department Patrol Officer eligibility list.
The Police Department Patrol Officer eligibility list was approved for six
months effective 06/11/19.
Moved by Bare, seconded by Wellner, that this Request be approved. The motion
carried by the following vote:
Aye: 5- Wellner, Sauer, Zigmunt, Hennessey and Bare
7. Adjournment
A motion was made by Jill Hennessey, seconded by Member Ted Zigmunt, that
this meeting be adjourned at 4:50 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote:
