5. Discussion and Action Items
23-0860 Pedestrian traffic concern on South 10th Street at the intersections of
Division Street and Columbus Street.
Attachments: S. 10th Street at Division St and Columbus St.
Jennifer Hinz from the Manitowoc Public School District was present and
expressed her concern about the number of children crossing South 10th
Street at the intersections of Columbus Street and Division Street. Police
Chief Nick Reimer and Director of Public Infrastructure explained they feel
the traffic/pedestrian counts would recommend improvement in this area.
City staff was directed to bring back a recommendation for this area.
23-0861 Request for LED right turn only signage on N. Rapids Road south of
Wildwood Drive.

6. Convene in Closed Session
A motion was made by Alderperson Brett Vanderkin, seconded by Alderperson
Darian Kaderabek, to convene in closed session at 6:05 p.m. The motion carried
by the following vote:

Notice is hereby given that the above governmental body may adjourn into a closed session during
the meeting as authorized by Section 19.85(1)(f) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the
governmental body to convene in closed session for the purpose of considering financial, medical,
social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of
specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons except where
par. (b) applies which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect
upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems
or investigations.
The specific subject matter that may be considered in closed session is:
23-0865 LifeQuest billing dispute, call 182A-23-2528.

A motion was made by Alderperson Brett Vanderkin, seconded by Alderperson
Tim Boldt, to reconvene in open session at 6:15 p.m. The motion carried by the

Pursuant to Section 19.84(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, notice is hereby
given to the public, to the Herald-Times-Reporter, the official newspaper of
Manitowoc, and to those news media who have filed a written request for this notice
that a meeting of the above-referenced will be held at the date, time and location
listed above.
This meeting is being conducted both in Council Chambers at City Hall and via Zoom
to maximize opportunities for residents to attend. Those attending the meeting via
Zoom who wish to give public input are asked to keep their microphone muted until
public input is opened to improve audio quality for all attendees. Those using their
phone to call in may hit *6 to mute and unmute themselves.
