18-0317 Approval of Minutes from February 13th, 2018 meeting

Moved and seconded that the minutes from February 13, 2018 Room Tax
Commission meeting be approved and placed on file. The motion carried by the
following vote:
Aye: 5- Nickels, McMeans, Brey, Sparacio and Reilly

18-0320 Discussion and possible action on Discover Manitowoc Grant application for
Subfest 2018
Attachments: Subfest 2018 v2 Request to City Room Tax Commission
WMM 2018 Subfest revised Marketing Budget and Plan
Rolf Johnson, CEO of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, provided overview
on the modified request.
Moved by Reilly, seconded by Brey, that this Request be approved. The motion
carried by the following vote:

18-0347 Discussion and possible action on Discover Manitowoc Grant Application from
the HFM Marathon
Attachments: HFM Maritime Marathon
Barb Bundy-Jost was present to provide an overview on the advertising
plan and strategy to attract a wider pool of participants for the upcoming
HFM Maritime Marathon.
Moved by Brey, seconded by Sparacio, that this Request be approved. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Brey, Sparacio and Reilly
Abstain: 2- Nickels and McMeans

Manitowoc, and to those news media who have filed a written request for this notice
that a meeting of the above-referenced will be held at the date, time and location
listed above.
Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Common Council of the City of
Manitowoc, or a standing committee of that body, may be present at this meeting to
gather information about the subject matter over which they have decision making
responsibility.
The above governmental body will meet to discuss and possibly take action on the
agenda items set forth below.
