Moved by McMeans, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Minutes be approved. The
motion carried by the following vote:

Discussion and Action Items
20-0229 Discussion and possible action on 2020 budget proposal of projects from the
Mayor

Overview of the proposed budget by Mayor Nickels. Discussion on items
and expected impact from the reduction in room tax.
Moved by McMeans, seconded by Brey, to freeze spending beyond items
previously approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

20-0213 Discussion and possible action on Room Tax for Downtown Master Plan

Overview of the request by Mayor Nickels.
Moved by McMeans, seconded by Sitkiewitz, to approve the additional funding of
$3,484.84 for the Downtown Master Plan. The motion carried by the following
vote:

20-0426 Discussion and possible action on an outdoor movie screen

Overview of option by Adam Tegen.
Moved by McMeans, seconded by Sitkiewitz, to direct staff to coordinate movie
night events utilizing movie screen rentals at a cost not to exceed $1,500 per
event. The motion carried by the following vote:

20-0424 Discuss agreement between MAVCB and City of Manitowoc Room Tax Commission
This item set the next meeting to discuss the agreement. NExt meeting was
set for May 16th at 5:30 p.m.

Moved by Brey, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this meeting be adjourned at 6:02
p.m. The motion carried by the following vote:

Pursuant to Section 19.84(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, notice is hereby
given to the public, to the Herald-Times-Reporter, the official newspaper of
Manitowoc, and to those news media who have filed a written request for this notice
that a meeting of the above-referenced will be held at the date, time and location
listed above.
Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Common Council of the City of
Manitowoc, or a standing committee of that body, may be present at this meeting to
gather information about the subject matter over which they have decision making
responsibility.
This meeting is being conducted via remote conferencing software due to a state of
emergency and the Wisconsin Governor's Executive Order. Members of the public

The above governmental body will meet to discuss and possibly take action on the
agenda items set forth below.
