1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Knight called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers
of City Hall, 1200 East Broad Street, with the meeting being open to the public and
notice of said meeting, giving the date, place, and subject thereof, having been posted
as prescribed by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code.

Commission Meeting Minutes
Commissioner Groll made a motion to approve the February 21, 2022 minutes
as presented. Commissioner Weydeck seconded the motion which carried by
the following vote:
Aye: 6- Anne Weydeck; Blake Axen; Kent Knight; Stephen Groll; Justin Gilmore
and Michael Mainer

SUP#22-001: Request for a Specific Use Permit for a Used
Merchandise Store on approximately 0.9636 acres being Lot 2, Blk 1,
Hunters Pointe Addition at 1826 Cannon Dr.; Shane Farrar on behalf
Road Less Traveled, LLC, owner, and Uptown Cheapskate, proposed
tenant.
Arty Wheaton-Rodriguez, Assistant Director of Planning, gave a presentation and was
present for questions.
Shane Farrar, applicant, was available for questions.
Chairman Knight opened the public hearing at 6:07 p.m. and called for anyone wishing
to speak to come forward.
Seeing no one come forward to speak, Chairman Knight closed the public hearing at
6:08 p.m.
After a brief discussion, Commissioner Weydeck made a motion to approve the
Specific Use Permit as presented. Commissioner Gilmore seconded the motion
which carried by the following vote:
Aye: 6- Anne Weydeck; Blake Axen; Kent Knight; Stephen Groll; Justin Gilmore
and Michael Mainer

Planned Development District for a mixed lot single-family residential
development (427 homes) and community business commercial on
121.459 acres of land in the Thomas J. Hanks Survey, Abstract No. 644,
Tarrant County, TX and Abstract No. 1109, Johnson County, TX, located
at 1101 W Broad St. Mary Ann Johnston, owner, Terrance Jobe Alluvium
Development, Developer.
Jason Alexander, Director of Planning, requested ZC 21-020 be tabled until P&Z
meeting scheduled for 04-04-2022.
Chairman Knight opened the public hearing at 6:14 p.m. and called for anyone wishing
to speak to come forward.
Seeing no one come forward to speak, Chairman Knight closed the public hearing at
6:15 p.m.
After a brief discussion, Commissioner Mainer made a motion to table to ZC
21-020 until the P&Z meeting scheduled for 04-04-2022. Vice-Chairman Axen
seconded the motion which carried by the following vote:

12,800 square feet) on 14.156 acres of land in the Henry McGehee
Survey, Abstract No. 998, generally located at the southeast intersection
of Debbie Lane and North Walnut Creek Drive on property at 1700 North
Walnut Creek Drive. John Arnold Skorburg Company, Developer.
Arty Wheaton-Rodriguez, Assistant Director of Planning, gave a presentation and was
present for questions.

David Boski, Assistant Director of Public Works - Transportation, was available for
questions.
John Arnold, representative for the applicant, gave a presentation and was available for

Chairman Knight opened the public hearing at 6:47 p.m. and called for anyone wishing
to speak to come forward.
Chairman Knight read into record a letter of opposition from Laura Hicks, 2416 Bent
Trail.
Chairman Knight read into record a letter of opposition from Tamia Diemer.
Chairman Knight read into record a letter of opposition from Cheryl Litke, 1331
Breckenridge Rd.
Mark Law, 4 Miterton Ct., spoke in opposition.
Shane Cooper, 1330 Brookfield Ln., spoke in opposition.
Houston Mitchell, 605 St. Eric Dr., spoke in opposition.
Shauna Friend, 13 Willowstone Ct., spoke in opposition.
Terry Moore, 3 Morningside Ct., spoke on the item.
Seeing no one else come forward to speak, Chairman Knight closed the public hearing
at 7:18 p.m.
After a discussion, Vice-Chairman Axen made a motion to table to ZC 21-023
until the P&Z meeting scheduled for 03-28-2022 to address the following items:
1) Possibly reduce density 2) Address traffic concerns 3) East fence possibly be
change from wood to wrought iron and 4) To address staff's presented material
recommendations for approval. Commissioner Mainer seconded the motion
which carried by the following vote:
