MANTORVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2016 6:30 PM 1. Call to Order – Mayor Bradford called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Members Present: Chuck Bradford, Henry Blair, Sherry Roth, Will Lambert and Don Hofstad Others Present: Ryan Christensen, Gretta Becay and Cami Reber. 2. Pledge of Allegiance – Done 3. Additions/Deletions to Agenda - None 4. Consent Agenda – Motion made by Member Blair, second by Member Hofstad to approve the consent agenda as follows: a) City Council Meeting Minute’s October 24, 2016 b) Warrant List October 27, 2016 and November 14, 2016 c) Dodge County Zoning Amendment Notice d) Dodge County Sheriffs October Call Report for Mantorville Motion passed unanimously. 5. Public Concerns - None 6. Public Hearing - None 7. Old Business/New Business a) RESOLUTION 2016-21 A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2016. Motion made by Member Roth, second by Member Hofstad to approve RESOLUTION 2016- 21 A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2016. Motion passed unanimously. b) RESOLUTION 2016-19 COOPERATIVE SNOW REMOVAL ON TRUNK HWY. 57 Motion made by Member Blair, second by Member Lambert to approve RESOLUTION 2016- 19 COOPERATIVE SNOW REMOVAL ON TRUNK HWY. 57. Swenke Ims will be doing the loading and hauling of the snow for the City and removal along that area of Highway 57 as described in the resolution. Motion passed unanimously. c) RESOLUTION 2016-20 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FUND TRANSFERS FOR THE YEAR 2016 Motion made by Member Blair, second by Member Roth to approve RESOLUTION 2016-20 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FUND TRANSFERS FOR THE YEAR 2016. This is the yearly fund transfers that the Council budgets for. Motion passed unanimously. d) Approve EDA Applicant Motion made by Member Lambert, second by Member Hofstad to approve the EDA’s recommendation new applicant, Brian Hindal to the Mantorville Economic Development Authority. Motion passed unanimously. 8. TBD a) Public Works Report – Scott reported on the following; The future of the current transponder system, the Mantor Field playground equipment is not completed but getting close, and the plow truck went to Crysteel today. b) City Clerk Report – Cami reported on the following; Let her know if there are items you want on the agenda for the retreat meeting, Joe passed his water Class D – just waiting on formal certification, possible pre con meeting for Mantor Woods East, Elections went well – outstanding job from my judges, she handed out staff evaluations and asked for their return by November 28, and she attend the SRTS meeting and noted a good collaboration of the different groups. c) Consultant Report – None d) Committee Report  Chamber – Member Hofstad reported that December 3 is Old Fashioned Christmas;  Fire Department – Member Hofstad reported the FD is getting things ready for the winter and the CPR refresher course is next month on December 7.  MRA – Member Lambert reported on repair work being done at the Opera House from a leak in the ceiling; there is a gap in use of the Opera House until April if anyone needs a place to meet.  Park Board – Member Blair reported that they discussed budget stuff, the Mantor Field playground, and the dug outs.  Township- Member Hofstad asked Cami to give an update on the meeting with 251st residents. She noted it all went well. e) Council Member Report  Member Roth – Noted that Casey’s is now delivering pizza.  Member Lambert – None  Member Hofstad – Noted his congrats to all on the Election and he spoke on the Mantorville Community and he is proud to be a part of it.  Member Blair – None f) Mayor Report – Congratulated Ryan Christensen on his election to the Council and he read a thank you from the Kasson PD regarding the event he put together. 9. Executive Session - None 10. Adjourn – Motion made by Member Hofstad, second by Member Blair to adjourn the meeting at 6:50 pm. Motion passed unanimously.
