MAPLE GROVE ARBOR SUBCOMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES REMOTE ONLINE MEETING July 19th, 2021 - 10: 00 AM Call to Order The special meeting of the Arbor Subcommittee was called to order by Member Sarah Piket at 10:20 a.m. Members Present Don Varney, Marilyn Arnlund Members Absent None Also Present None Approval of Agenda and Sarah Piket made a motion to approve the agenda of Minutes the July 19th meeting. The motion was seconded by Don Varney and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Sarah Piket made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 28th meeting. The motion was seconded by Don Varney and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Old Business Continue to identify Subcommittee members gave updates on progress commonalities between made on the commonalities spreadsheet (whose numerous Reference purpose is to document key technical guidelines from Documents/Guidelines numerous reference documents). New Business Site Visits Subcommittee members identified sites throughout the city that were visited in 2018 and 2019 that should be revisited to re- assess tree health. The purpose would be to see if tree conditions had continued to deteriorate. Additionally, they felt it would be useful to visit a few sites which have been developed in the last year or two to assess tree health and compare actual landscaping to the plans reviewed by the Arbor Committee. The following sites were identified to be visited at the next meeting: Revisit: US Bank, Arbor Lakes area ( especially near Lowe’ s/DSW/Firefly CU), Prestige, Bottineau Ridge, Parnassus, Park Nicollet Physicians Neck & Back Center, Auto Zone, Bio Life New visits: Taco Bell (by the hospital), Wahlburgers, Shoppes at Arbor Lakes Next Meeting Site visits Arbor Subcommittee Meeting Minutes July 19, 2021 Page 2 Adjournment Don Varney moved to adjourn the meeting.
