Site Visits Subcommittee members re-visited sites that they had
been to in 2018 and 2019 to see if tree conditions had
changed. Additionally, the visited a few new sites that
had been developed recently to assess tree health and
compare actual landscaping to the plans approved by
the Arbor Committee.
Revisits:
Fountains at Arbor Lakes (Lowe’ s – REI, Trustone
CU)
Several trees identified as missing a few years ago
still not replaced.
At least 17 trees recently removed (this summer).
Stumps have been left in the ground which would
indicate that replacements are not happening.
There were approx. 10 new trees planted by Lowe’ s
outer parking lot. Most if not all are struggling (likely
need water), one is leaning badly.
Several existing trees undersized and in poor health.
Office Depot/PetSmart
3 trees had recently been planted in small islands
near the stores.

Costco
A few trees are in poor health but generally all the
trees are in much better shape than across the road at
Lowe’ s, etc.
Many islands are larger ( more soil volume). What
else was done different?
Prestige
Trees that were missing are still missing
Trees that had died were not replaced.
One Maple that was stressed now looked improved.

The Elm trees are all dying; one is also leaning.
The Pine tree that was turning brown on the bottom
is now all dead on the bottom.

The other Linden trees are in very poor health; the

One Spruce is visibly stressed.
The Crab Apple tree is very stressed and dying.
Four birch trees...three trees are now gone and the
last one is dying.
