Maple Grove Arbor Subcommittee Regular Meeting Minutes May 9, 2023 CED Conference Room 9 a.m. Call to Order The regular meeting of the Arbor Subcommittee was called to order by Member Marilyn Arnlund at 9:02 a.m. Members Present Don Varney, Marilyn Arnlund, Sarah Piket Members Absent None Also Present None Approval of Agenda and Motion Varney, second Piket to approve the agenda for May Minutes 9, 2023. Vote all ayes. Motion passed. Approval of Minutes Motion Varney, second Piket to approve the minutes for April 18, 2023. Vote all ayes. Motion passed. Old Business Walk-through of Current Members continued walking through the existing Landscape Ordinance to Identify Areas ordinance (Sec. 36-831.). They identified multiple proposed for Update changes. They concurrently updated a document to log the justification and/or reference source for each of the proposed changes. The subcommittee made a few revisions to proposed changes in sections (a) through (d) and began the walkthrough of sections (e) and (f) Review Sample Tree Planting Diagram Members discussed that they would leverage existing diagrams from MnDOT to create tree planting diagrams for multiple scenarios (parking lot island, turf perimeter, etc.) New Business Adjournment Motion Arnlund, second Piket to adjourn the meeting at 2:00 p.m. Vote all ayes.
