Maple Grove Arbor Subcommittee Regular Meeting Minutes April 18, 2023 Inspections Conference Room 9 a.m. Call to Order The regular meeting of the Arbor Subcommittee was called to order by Member Don Varney at 9:06 a.m. Members Present Don Varney, Marilyn Arnlund, Sarah Piket Members Absent None Also Present None Approval of Agenda and Motion Varney, second Arnlund to approve the agenda for Minutes April 18, 2023. Vote all ayes. Motion passed. Approval of Minutes Motion Varney, second Piket to approve the minutes for April 4, 2023. Vote all ayes. Motion passed. Old Business Walk-through of Current Members continued walking through the existing Landscape Ordinance to Identify Areas ordinance (Sec. 36-831.). They identified multiple proposed for Update changes. They concurrently updated a document to log the justification and/or reference source for each of the proposed changes. The subcommittee completed the walkthrough of sections (a) through (d) Review Sample Tree Planting Members discussed that they would leverage existing Diagram diagrams from MnDOT to create tree planting diagrams for multiple scenarios (parking lot island, turf perimeter, etc.) Determine Upcoming Tuesday, May 9 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Meeting Schedule May 30 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. were selected for upcoming meetings New Business Adjournment Motion Arnlund, second Piket to adjourn the meeting at 2:00 p.m. Vote all ayes.
